With the issue of Europe rising up the political agenda, local prospective MP, Lee Rowley, took some of the Conservative Europe team to Ashover to discuss the EU with North East Derbyshire residents.
Lee was joined by Emma McClarkin, MEP for the East Midlands and Andrew Lewer, former Leader of Derbyshire County Council and MEP candidate in the upcoming 2014 elections as he knocked on doors in Chapel Hill, Dovecotes and the surrounding streets.
Lee said: “Many people across North East Derbyshire have told me about their concerns over the EU.
“It is great that our local MEP and MEP candidates are regularly visiting North East Derbyshire to discuss with local residents the importance of fundamental change in Strasbourg. The EU is completely broken and we need a completely different approach in the future."
Lee, Andrew and Emma were also joined by Councillors Barry Lewis and Councillor Stuart Ellis, on hand to tackle any local issues residents raised.
