Lee Rowley MP visited the new Sharley Park Leisure Centre recently with local Councillors and other Clay Cross Town Board members. This will be known as Clay Cross Active, because of the health and other facilities that will be there too when it opens to the public.
Works are progressing really well; the sports hall has been rebuilt and the swimming pools are built and being tested. The new interior and first floor areas are also taking shape which will come to include a new gym area, TAG active facility and other sports and health facilities.
It was fantastic for Lee to meet the team working on the construction of the new centre. Lee, along with all local residents, is looking forward to the works finishing and this brilliant new facility being open and used by our community.
