Pond Lane in Tupton is one of the roads in North East Derbyshire in need of the greatest attention and, over the last eighteen months, the MP for North East Derbyshire, Lee Rowley, has been pressing Derbyshire County Council's Highways Team to consider it for improvement.
Today, the Council let Lee know that they have included Pond Lane in this year's works programme and the improvements will happen in the coming months. This has been a long time coming and it is very welcome that the County Council has listened and are now willing to improve the road after such a long campaign. Although there is no date set in stone yet, the work will be done this financial year.
There are lots of roads around North East Derbyshire that need attention and Lee Rowley MP will continue to work with the County to try to get improvements for the residents in his constituency.
